The organization offers annual football camps, supports other organizations whose charitable activities correspond with their mission and help youth identify and develop upon non-athletic life opportunities.

Q: What is it like going from playing pro football to coaching high school football?

A: Coaching will definitely be a challenge. To be a player is one thing and to be a coach is entirely another. Being a football player doesn’t guarantee me to be a good football coach. I want to lead these young men so they will become a positive asset to the community.

Q: What do you hope to accomplish during your tenure as North Fort Myers High School head coach?

A: I hope to build a program that will be top in Florida, recognized nationally on and off the field.

Q: Why is it important to you to give back to the community?

A: Because this community is where I came from, to live in a place and have experiences. I want to relay those experiences and give back to the community I was born and raised in.

Q: What does mentorship mean to you?

A: Mentorship to me is an intimate relationship with young men and women to identify their specific needs and to give kids a base discipline to flourish, giving them their own skill set. To be able to help kids utilize their gifts.

Q: How do you see the foundation growing or evolving in the future?

A: Right now being situated in Southwest Florida and with North Fort Myers High School, I’ve taken an economic interest in the community and expect the foundation to grow as my influence in the community grows.

Q: How can local businesses and the community support Giving in Earnest?

A: Those interested in the foundation can learn more at Any time, talent or other volunteerism to improve the talent in the community is appreciated.
